HopeCentral is a faith-based 501(c)(3) non-profit clinic and serves all families in Southeast Seattle regardless of income, status, or belief system. We launched in 2014 as a primary care practice with the mission of “sharing the love of Jesus through excellent, enhanced primary care for the entire community.” Since 2015, we have been an Autism Center of Excellence for Washington state and have provided pediatric primary care with a focus on special healthcare needs.
Job Summary
HopeCentral is seeking a strategic and versatile Development and Outreach coordinator to lead fundraising, donor engagement, and patient outreach efforts. This role offers an exciting opportunity at the intersection of health care, childhood development, and faith-based community impact.
The ideal candidate will be a proven development leader with excellent cross-cultural communication skills who can strengthen relationships with our diverse stakeholders and help us tell our story and bring in partners to be a part of it. Working closely with the Executive Directors and Board of Directors, and as part of the Development Team, the coordinator will drive fundraising, donor stewardship, community engagement, and institutional giving to ensure HopeCentral’s growth and long-term sustainability.
Responsibilities:
Development & Fundraising
Strategic Fundraising Leadership: Maintain and expand HopeCentral’s development strategy, including donor cultivation, communications, grants, event planning, and patient outreach. Work with community partners and congregations to build HopeCentral’s awareness and reach.
Create and maintain foundation relationships with institutional funding partners (mainly foundations) and take the lead on grant writing, managing and integrating feedback and support internally and externally.
Major Gifts & Donor Stewardship: Serve as one of HopeCentral’s major gifts officers, stewarding relationships with 100+ major donor households and cultivating donors at all levels, while supporting the Development team and facilitating their donor relationships.
Fundraising Campaigns: Execute all programs and events related to HopeCentral’s fundraising activities, including HopeCentral’s year-end Annual Fund Campaign and other targeted appeals.
Data Management & Analytics: Maintain donor database, recording gifts and interactions while leveraging analytics to track progress and meet fundraising goals.
Donor & Patient Communications: Execute HopeCentral’s annual donor communication strategy, including donor updates and segmented outreach to patient families.
Social Media & Digital Presence: Manage and grow HopeCentral’s social media channels as a tool for engagement, awareness, and fundraising.
Community & Patient Marketing and Outreach
Family Engagement: Coordinate patient support initiatives.
Grateful Patient Stories: Work with clinic staff to collect and share patient stories for marketing and fundraising.
Community Newsletters and Social Media: Develop and distribute monthly Pulse Report newsletter and create engaging social media content.
Spiritual Support: Maintain the waiting room Prayer Box and faith-based engagement activities.
Build Church Relationships: Serve as liaison and ambassador to churches and Christian schools across the Puget Sound region to create partnership and ownership in our mission.
Build Community Awareness: Represent HopeCentral at local health fairs, community meetings, and church gatherings to strengthen partnerships and outreach.
Events Management
Plan & Execute Events: Oversee fundraising and donor engagement events, from major donor gatherings to community-building activities.
Volunteer & Board Engagement: Organize and deploy board members, staff, and volunteers for fundraising and outreach initiatives
Grant Management
Collaborate with Executive Directors and other development team members to administer faithfully and report on our portfolio of awarded grants, both internally and externally as required.
Additional Responsibilities
Assist with basic accounting tasks such as expense reporting and CRM reconciliation.
Maintain and update HopeCentral’s website.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
5+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising or donor relations
Other requirements:
Excitement for HopeCentral’s faith-based mission.
Cross-cultural communication skills and ability to engage with diverse communities.
Excellent spoken and written communications skills. Ability to represent HopeCentral as an organizational ambassador in community contexts.
Ability to work independently, multitask and meet deadlines.
Ability to organize volunteers and deploy leaders and board members in fundraising activities.
Experience managing donor databases (Salesforce a plus) and digital platforms such as Squarespace.
Must be available for periodic weekend events, including church visits and programs.
Must have access to a car or be able to transport materials to and from meetings and special events/programs.
Must be able to work flexibly in a hybrid format (starting with at least three days a week in office, to be reviewed after three months).
Must be able to lift 30 lbs and perform set up/take down of event equipment.
Compensation $65,000 - $80,000 annually, dependent upon experience. Full benefits including paid time off, health and dental insurance and retirement plan.
