Special Needs

Families with special needs often feel frustrated with their primary care experience. At HopeCentral, we have oriented our primary care pediatric practice to serve you better:

Providers who understand special needs

Our providers have deep experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), and many other issues. In addition to providing the expertise you need, our providers (and staff) treat your child gently, knowing that visits to the doctor can be particularly challenging for some kids.

Enough time to ask your complex questions

Special needs can create complex situations that take time and attention to unwind. We are committed to enhancing access to our pediatricians through longer hours and after-hours on-call availability. (These are such important values, we fundraise to make it happen!)

Behavioral health support

Special needs often come with a host of behavioral issues relating to eating, sleeping, voiding, and many other areas of life. With a clinical psychologist on staff, we have the expertise to provide immediate support and also guide you to needed specialized resources.

Care coordination

Kids with special needs see a bewildering array of specialist providers: speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, mental health counseling, specialty physicians, and nutritionists, to name a few. Since we take the time to really know your family, we can help you effectively prioritize, choose, and manage your specialty providers.
